NRO NC Elections

The Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council (NC) was formed in 2004 through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ICANN and the NRO. Under the MoU, the NC performs the role of the Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC).

Each Regional Internet Registry (RIR) elects or appoints three representatives to the NRO Number Council.  APNIC holds elections for two positions and the Executive Council appoints the third.

The NRO Number Council Nomination and Election process is not covered in the APNIC Bylaws. However, brief requirements are found in the 2004 Memorandum of Understanding mentioned above . The information below describes APNIC's process for electing and appointing NRO Number Council representatives from this region.
