[Pakistan] Open Source Resource Center



The Open Source Resource Center [http://www.pseb.org.pk/projects/osrc/ ] is a first such forum in Pakistan created by Pakistan Software Export Board (G) Ltd. at Islamabad. The Resource Center will bring together wide range of expertise related to Open Source Technologies and Resources at one place. The IT companies can access, share, and contribute the knowledge particular to the development and transformation of IT products on Open Source Technologies.

The Resource Center brings together established technology vendors, startups, open source community members and enterprise IT users/customers to jointly explore new opportunities for OSS deployment and how to capitalize on them.

The Resource Center will serve local IT companies as given below:

- Discover cutting-edge features of Open Source Systems (OSS)
- Detailed information on existing best OSS practices with pragmatic guidance as to how to leverage OSS in their business
- Access to the comprehensive knowledge base covering various facets of Open Source Systems
- Tackle the technical issues related to development, deployment, distribution and packaging in general and to startups in specific
- Networking of professionals, start-ups, researchers and existing communities
