Restricted rights

Except for agreed Internet operational purposes, no part of this publication may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, recording, or otherwise, without prior permission of APNIC on behalf of the copyright holders. Any use of this material to target advertising or similar activities are explicitly forbidden and will be prosecuted. APNIC requests to be notified of any such activities or suspicions thereof.

Excessive querying

APNIC limits the number of queries a host can make to the APNIC Whois Database each day. If a host exceeds this limit, the host's connection will be terminated. If the host continues to exceed the limit, the host will be permanently denied service. This has been implemented to prevent the use of contact information in the database being used illegally for advertising or similar activities.

If you or a host you are accessing query the APNIC Whois Database for legitimate purposes and have been blocked from further queries, please contact helpdesk@apnic.net to request alternative means of accessing the data. You must provide information on why the host needs to conduct such a large amount of queries and you will be required to show that your use of the data is for Internet operational or technical research purposes.
