APNIC serves the Asia Pacific region
The region served by APNIC covers the entire Asia Pacific, comprising 56 economies throughout Asia and Oceania. APNIC classifies these economies into four regions South, Southeast, Central-east, and Oceania.
APNIC employs staff from throughout the region to assist in understanding and responding to the needs of a diverse community.
APNIC in Australia
For reasons such as the stable infrastructure, low cost of living and operation, and tax advantages for membership organizations, Brisbane, Australia was chosen as the location for the APNIC Secretariat offices. The relocation from Tokyo was completed between April and August 1998, all the while maintaining continuous operation.
