Second opinion template

The second opinion template is used to provide information about the type of address space you are requesting a second opinion for and whether you wish to make an assignment or sub-allocation.

Attributes in requestor template:

Internet Protocol version (address-type)

The address-type attribute should contain the version number of the IP address space the second opinion relates to. Accepted options for this attribute are:

  • IPv4
  • IPv6

Example:

address-type: IPv4

Note: for each address-type, you must submit a separate request form.

Type of second opinion request (opinion-type)

The opinion-type attribute should contain the type of address space delegation you are requesting for your customer in the APNIC Second Opinion Request Form.

There are two options for this attribute:

Description

assignment

IPv4 and IPv6

Address assignment to your customer.

sub-allocation

IPv4 only

Address sub-allocation to your customer for the purpose of assignments to the end sites.
