APNIC Routing Registry resource guide
About the APNIC Routing Registry
The APNIC Routing Registry is a part of the APNIC Whois Database and is linked to the distributed Internet Routing Registry (IRR). The APNIC Routing Registry provides Internet operators with the ability to:
- debug routing problems
- automatically configure backbone routers
- perform network planning
NewsFrom 1 January 2007, APNIC will be processing applications for both two-byte and four-byte AS numbers. For more information please see the ASN resource guide.

These forms can be used to perform regular updates on objects in the APNIC Whois Database as well as to include additional routing related attributes:

- Add a mnt-routes attribute to your inetnum object to control the creation of route objects within your address range

- Add a mnt-routes attribute to your aut-num object to control the creation of route objects using your AS number as an origin.
- Add a members attribute to include your AS number in an as-set.
