Global IPv6 Summit in Korea 2009

The next Global IPv6 Summit will be held in Seoul, Korea, 9-10 July 2009. As the largest IPv6 conference, it seeks to promote the deployment of IPv6 and investment in research and development of IPv6 technologies.

Next phase of four-byte AS number policy begins 1 July 2009

From 1 July 2009, APNIC will assign four-byte AS numbers by default when receiving requests for AS numbers. Two-byte AS numbers will only be assigned if the applicant can demonstrate that a four-byte only AS number is unsuitable.

APNIC signs MoU with Beijing Internet Institute

The Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) and the Beijing Internet Institute (BII) (represented by the IPv6 Summit China) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15 April 2008 to mutually cooperate in the advancement and deployment of IPv6 in China and the Asia Pacific region.
