I support your proposal.

I find it disturbing that we have to resort to cherry picking the KPMG
report in order to make propositions palatable to some sections of the
membership.

I respectfully disagree that it was logistical mistake to put both in the
proposal, as I believe in order to operate under good governance, APNIC
should follow all the recommendations of KPMG.  

Having said that, the EC should approve the original proposal as they
originally proposed it, unless they are willing to deliberately starve APNIC
of funds.

i suspect a logistic mistake was made in the proposal.  if it had been split
into two, conversion to aud the raise separated, the former would likely
have passed as getting income in a volatile currency other than the one in
which apnic incurs expenses is plain silly.

so let me ask a question.  would anyone strongly object if the ec was to
institute just the currency change for 2008 starting in 1 jan?  that is,
fees to be charged in aud as opposed to usd.
