DP India launches Vote Smart India and E-Health Initiative

Digital Partners India that started its operations in 2001 in New Delhi has been engaged in exploring the ways ICTs can help us generate the momentum to bridge the digital divide and empower the poor.

So far we have been successful in suporting and organising Baramati Initiatives, Social Entrepreneurship programs and some policy dialogues.

Begining 2003 we are also supporting the Election Commission in making elections transparent and have developed an application system that will allow the necessary and mandated information about all candidates in legislative and parliamentary elections to be available through the web. It will also help analysts and researchers by saving them time on simply grappling with data and free them up considerably to manage it to analyse and understand the events etc better. Also, begining Nov 16, 2003 we have launched an e-Health Initiative in Haryana starting with Sirsa district and launched an application that will provide every citizen's healthcare data to the PHCs and make it available to any doctor the patient may need to see. The application will also help distribute Health Cards to every citizen and help them get appointments in distant hospitals and that may save them time and money and the discomfort of spending days and weeks to see a doctor. Currently the application is hosted by Drishtee.com and begining this week will be available on www.ehealthindia.net .
