How ICT can assist economic development in Bangladesh and the South 
Asia region 

Bangladesh resident Partha Pratim Sarker, 32, who with his partner 
Frederick Noronha founded the Bytesforall network from South Asia, is 
optimistic about Bangladesh, and the potential of ICT to spur 
economic development. "In the West, Bangladesh is known as a country 
of disaster, poverty, cyclone and all those things. But there are 
things going on in Bangladesh that have much potential," he said, 
"and that needs to be portrayed also."
