T.H. Chowdary is Information Technology Advisor to the Government of
Andhra Pradesh, Director of the Center for Telecom Management &
Studies (CTMS) and Chairman of Pragna Bahrati of Andhra Pradesh. He
was the founding Chairman and Managing Director of Videsh Sanchar
Nigam Limited (VSNL).
Since 1960, he has written over 1,000 Articles and Papers and
Pamphlets and Booklets on various aspects of telephone and other
telecom services in the country and abroad in newspapers, journals,
periodicals and professional publications in India and abroad. He is
a Senior Member of IEEE. Fellow of the Institution of Engineers
(India). Distinguished Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and
Telecom Engineers (IETE) and past President of the IETE (India). He
was awarded the degree of Doctorate of Philosophy (Honor's cause) by
the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in 1999 for his
distinguished services for the promotion of telecommunications
technology, technical education and public instruction.
