The Human Development Report 1999 [theme: "Globalization with a human 
face"], launched on 12 July 1999 (today) in London, looks critically 
on the impact of globalization. The official press release, press 
kit, report's table of contents, and feedback/reviews are available 
on the UNDP's HDR office website [http://www.undp.org/hdro/99.htm]. 

The S-Asia-IT mailing list will be featuring relevant sections from 
the report, as well as posting media coverage. Comments and feedback 
are requested.
