Explaining India's software exports surge



The question was asked about how Nasscom predicts US$15bn worth of 
exports by c.2003, representing growth from 5% to 25% of all Indian 
exports.

I can't speak for Nasscom, but anyone can do the calculations: growth 
rates for Indian software exports have been around 50% per annum over 
recent years, compared to far lower growth rates for Indian exports 
overall.  Extrapolate those figures from here to 2003; add in a bit 
of Nasscom optimism, and you reach their predictions.
