Re: Questions about Telephone systems

As far as Pakistan is concerned, analog exchanges have been wiped out totally and have been replaced by digital exchanges with all the typical value added services and features. The impulse of change-over from analog exchanges to digital exchanges had its roots more in curbing VoIP termination than a genuine technical aspiration to move from EMD exchanges to Digital Exchanges.

There are still working Pentaconta telephone exchanges
in India and Pakistan? Or any other Asian country?

If yes, how many subscribers are in those analog
exchanges? Have these subscribers new services like
CLIR, CLIP, IDDD, Dynamic Call Barring, DTMF support
or Call Billing Systems?

Thank you for reading and much more for replying!
