What Children Say About Media And Advertising
Study Finds They Love the Internet and Recognize Ads as Sales Hype
If they were allowed access to only a single medium and had to choose
which one that would be, a majority of children would rather have the
Internet than TV, radio or magazines, according to a study of the
youth market conducted for Advertising Age by NeoPets, a
youth-oriented Web site.

Blunkett Tests Water On Identity Cards
David Blunkett, the home secretary, said yesterday he wanted to raise
the idea of a national "entitlement card". The Telegraph notes that
Mr Blunkett said he wanted to "test public reaction" to the cards.
The Independent gives prominence to the views of Liberty, the civil
rights group, who say the scheme would "pave the way for a national
database and an 'ever more draconian' system".
