Judge leaves screening of racist material to French ISPs 

A French judge has declined to order internet service providers to
block access to racist material on the web.

Judge Jean-Jacques Gomez was ruling in a dispute centred on a US
portal accused of promoting Nazi sentiment.

He said it should be up to service providers to freely determine
measures to stop French users from seeing the site.
