Schools Offered New Protection Against Internet Paedophiles - Wills
And Vorderman

21 March 2001 
Learning and Technology Minister Michael Wills and Carol Vorderman
today joined forces to offer new protection for children from
unsuitable material on the Internet in schools. 
New guidance for schools is to be displayed on the DfEE's Internet
safety website (http://safety.ngfl.gov.uk) on the following areas:
 emails for pupils;
 filtering systems;
 school websites; and
 chat rooms.

Multi-Media Revolution. We argued that the convergence of television
and computer technologies would have a dramatic impact on the British
communications landscape. We considered that the potential for

broadcasters, the confusing array of regulators and the lack of
clarity of public policy.
