| Description | This course provides an understanding of IPv6, its structure, operation, and technical features. IPv6 addressing and architecture is discussed in detail, and the issues related to the deployment, transition and co-existence with IPv4 are examined. This course also includes configuration and demonstration of IPv6 on host computers as well as the building and configuring of an IPv6 network. IPv6 policy and address allocation criteria are discussed, and the issues and perspectives related the current deployment status of IPv6 is considered. All eLearning courses are free of charge for participants, with priority given to APNIC members. Course numbers are limited to 20 per class, based on first-come, first-served. Participants from the Pacific/Oceania region will be given priority, specifically those from the following economies:
