Srinivas (Sunny) ChendiSenior Community Engagement Specialist/ Liaison Officer, South Asia

Srinivas Chendi is APNIC's Senior Community Engagement Specialist and Liaison Officer for the South Asia region. He is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the levels of community participation among Members and stakeholders in that subregion. He manages this role while establishing partnerships with external organizations to encourage IPv6 deployment and help the community derive the maximum benefit from developments at APNIC.
Srinivas has worked in a variety of roles at APNIC and elsewhere, including External Relations Manager, Policy Development Manager, Online Services Manager, Internet Resource Analyst, Technical Support Supervisor, and Systems Security Analyst.
Srinivas represents APNIC at an economy and regional level and is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate with the Asia Pacific community.
Srinivas enjoys cricket and learning about other cultures. He is a qualified Commissioner for Declarations in the state of Queensland Justice system and provides volunteer work to the community.

Current Position and Activities |
Srinivas is APNIC's Senior Community Engagement Specialist; he is primarily responsible for maintaining and enhancing the levels of engagement and participation of the members of the APNIC community. Srinivas’ secondary role is to establish partnerships of mutual cooperation with external organizations, particularly with regard to encouraging IPv6 deployment and helping the South Asia community to derive the maximum benefit from developments at APNIC. Srinivas represents APNIC at an economy and regional level and is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate with the Asia Pacific community. |

Previous Positions |
Prior to his appointment as Senior Community Engagement Specialist, Srinivas served in other roles within APNIC, such as External Relations Manager, Policy Development Manager, Online Services Manager, and Internet Resource Analyst. Before he came to APNIC, Srinivas was employed by PowerUp ISP in Australia, firstly as a Technical Support Officer, then Technical Support Supervisor. Srinivas also held IT-related positions in India, working as Systems Security Analyst, at Sai Security Services and PC Consumables Sales Representative, at Trident Peripherals. |
