Sunny Chendi

Sunny Chendi is APNIC's External Relations Manager. He manages the Liaison team while establishing partnerships with external organizations to encourage IPv6 deployment and help the community derive the maximum benefit from developments at APNIC.

Sunny has worked in a variety of roles at APNIC and elsewhere, including Policy Development Manager, Online Services Manager, Internet Resource Analyst, Technical Support Supervisor, and Systems Security Analyst.

Sunny represents APNIC at an economy and regional level and is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate with the Asia Pacific community.

Sunny enjoys cricket, volunteer work, and learning about other cultures.

Current Position and Activities

Sunny is APNIC's External Relations Manager, responsible for managing the Liaison team. Sunny's primary role is to establish partnerships of mutual cooperation with external organizations, particularly with regard to encouraging IPv6 deployment and helping the community to derive the maximum benefit from developments at APNIC.

Sunny represents APNIC at an economy and regional level and is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate with the Asia Pacific community.

Previous Positions

Prior to his appointment as External Relations Manager, Sunny served in other roles within APNIC, such as Policy Development Manager, Online Services Manager, and Internet Resource Analyst.

Before he came to APNIC, Sunny was employed by PowerUp ISP in Australia, firstly as a Technical Support Officer, then Technical Support Supervisor. Sunny also held IT-related positions in India, working as Systems Security Analyst, at Sai Security Services and PC Consumables Sales Representative, at Trident Peripherals.

Education/Achievements

  • Researched and implemented APNIC Live Chat, which allows APNIC Members to speak to our helpdesk on line and free of charge
  • Performed the original research for and subsequently implemented APNIC's ICONS website
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Systems, Griffith University - Australia
  • Diploma in Information Technology, Martin College - Australia
  • Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Osmania University - India

Current positions outside of APNIC

Sunny is a member of the Delhi and Pacific ISOC Chapters.
