As APNIC's IPv6 Program Manager Miwa's role is to assist the regional Internet community to manage their IPv4 to IPv6 transition plans by providing community support and information via presentations, publications and website assets such as the ICONS IPv6 wiki.
Prior to this role, Miwa was an APNIC Training Officer (Research and Development) from 2002-2008 offering her the opportunity to gain first-hand experience from contact with APNIC members in every part of the region.
Current Position and Activities | Miwa Fujii is currently the APNIC IPv6 Program Manager. Her role is to assist the Asia Pacific Internet community in managing issues related to IPv4 address exhaustion and the transition to IPv6. She is responsible for various projects that support the smooth transition to IPv6 including outreach activities to multi-stakeholders. Miwa regularly represents APNIC’s view on the transition to IPv6 at global IPv6 Summits, Forums and other conferences around the Asia Pacific region. |

Previous Positions | From 2002 to 2008, Miwa served as an APNIC Training Officer (Research and Development). During this period she provided Internet resource management education and training throughout the Asia Pacific. She helped develop and deliver training programs on topics that include IPv6, Internet security, and the Internet Routing Registry. Prior to joining APNIC, Miwa worked at IBM Australia as the Operations Manager for the IBM Asia Pacific Technical Support Centre. Previously, she worked as a LAN administrator for Jardine Fleming Securities and Warburg Investment Management in Tokyo. |
Education/Achievements | Miwa was educated in Japan and Australia and holds a master’s degree in eCommerce. |
