APNIC EC member appointed to ICANN Board

APNIC EC member, Professor Qian Hualin has been appointed to the ICANN Board of Directors. His term will commence in June 2003. Professor Qian is Deputy Director of China Network Information Center (CNNIC), Chinese Academy of Sciences and has served on the APNIC Executive Council since 2001.

The Address Council of the Address Supporting Organization has announced the fourth ASO General Assembly meeting to be held:

Santiago, Chile
The meeting will be hosted by LACNIC in conjunction with the LACNIC IV Meeting, and is open to all parties with an interest in the activities of the ASO.

The Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) have published a document entitled, "RIR Blueprint for Evolution and Reform of Internet Address Management."
The RIRs have also sent this document to the Chair of the ICANN Board, the Chair of the ICANN Evolution and Reform Committee, and the ICANN President and CEO.
The RIRs welcome feedback from the Internet addressing community on the contents of this document. To facilitate discussion focused on this document, a dedicated mailing list has been established and is open to all interested parties. Subscription information for the NRR-Blueprint mailing list is available on the ARIN web site.All comments sent to the NRR-Blueprint mailing list will be publicly archived.
