Regional IGF initiatives
APNIC supports regional IGF initiatives in the Asia Pacific region.
Asia Pacific Regional IGF (APrIGF)
The first APrIGF was held in Hong Kong in June 2010. The second APrIGF was held in Singapore in June 2011. Archives of video and transcripts from both APrIGFs are available from the APrIGF website.
Pacific Internet Governance Forum
The inaugural Pacific IGF was held in Noumea, New Caledonia in April 2011.
National IGF initiatives
As well as regional IGFs in the Asia Pacific, there are also national initiatives that take place in the Asia Pacific:
- Japan IGF, 21-22 July 2011, Kyoto
- New Zealand IGF, 29 June - 1 July 2011, Auckland
- Hong Kong IGF, 17-18 June 2010, Hong Kong
- Bangladesh Consultation on 4th Internet Governance Forum (IGF), 31 October 2009, Dhaka
Youth IGF camp
In conjunction with APrIGF in 2010 and 2011, a Youth Camp has been held to encourage the development of the next generation of Internet leaders.
