Asia & Pacific Internet Association (APIA)
The Asia & Pacific Internet Association (APIA) was established in 1997 as a non-profit trade association whose aim is to promote the common business interests of the Internet-related service industry in the Asia Pacific region. APIA's main activity is the running of APRICOT, the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operating Technologies. It provides the legal framework and organizing all aspects of the APRICOT meeting. APIA provides and promotes educational opportunities by hosting, endorsing, or co-organizing conferences, seminars, forums, workshops, and other training events.
The mission of the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies (APRICOT) is to provide a forum for the key Internet builders in the Asia Pacific region to learn from their peers and other leaders in the Internet community from around the world.
APRICOT
This 10-day summit consists of seminars, workshops, tutorials, conference sessions, birds-of-a-feather sessios (BoFs), and other forums that share the goal of spreading and sharing the knowledge required to operate the Internet within the Asia Pacific region. APRICOT is held in conjunction with one of the two Asia Pacific Network Information Center's (APNIC) annual meetings, the winter Asia Pacific Networking Group (APNG) meeting, and meetings of other Asia Pacific Internet organizations.
